Planning
Weekly planner template
Monday to Friday columns for planning a week of work or a content calendar.
What it is
A weekly planner lays out Monday to Friday as columns, so you see the whole week at once. Use it for your own work, a team schedule or a content calendar, and drag notes to another day when plans change.
When to use it
- On Monday morning or Friday afternoon, to plan the week ahead
- As a content calendar for posts, emails and newsletters
- For a small team that wants to see who is doing what on which day
How to run it
- 01
Add fixed events first
Put meetings and deadlines on their days before anything else. They decide how much room is left.
- 02
Spread the work
Add tasks to the days that have space. Three or four notes a day is plenty.
- 03
Colour by type
Give each kind of work its own sticky colour, like client work and admin, to see how the week balances out.
- 04
Review on Friday
Move unfinished notes into next week and ask why they slipped.
