Meetings
Sprint retrospective template
Four columns for what went well, what to change, new ideas and owned action items.
What it is
A sprint retrospective is a short meeting at the end of a sprint where the team looks back at how the work went. This board gives you four frames: what went well, what to improve, ideas to try, and action items with an owner and a date.
When to use it
- At the end of every sprint, while the details are still fresh
- After a release, an incident or a hard deadline
- When a new team wants a regular place to raise problems
How to run it
- 01
Look at last time's actions
Open the previous retro board and check each action item. Done, dropped or still open? Five minutes, no more.
- 02
Write in silence
Give everyone six to eight minutes to add sticky notes to the first three frames, one idea per note. Writing first keeps the loudest voice from setting the agenda.
- 03
Group and talk
Drag similar notes together, or select them and let the AI cluster them into themes. Walk through each group and ask what was behind it.
- 04
Commit to two or three actions
Move the actions you agree on into the last frame. Each one gets a name and a date. A short list that happens beats a long one that doesn't.
