Terms of use
These terms govern your use of Prompt Board at prompt-board.com, the website and the whiteboard service. By creating an account you agree to them.
Last updated 18 October 2026
Who you are dealing with
Prompt Board is operated by dionics media UG (haftungsbeschränkt), Birkhuhnweg 8, 31303 Burgdorf, Germany, registered at Amtsgericht Hildesheim, HRB 205032. Contact details are in the imprint.
What the service is
Prompt Board is an online whiteboard. You can create boards, work on them with others in real time, share them by link, and have an AI draft content for them.
The service is a free beta. You pay nothing, and nothing in these terms obliges you to pay. Because it is a beta, features can change, appear or go away while we work on it.
We may limit the free service or end it. We will tell account holders by email at least four weeks in advance, so you have time to export your boards. We offer no service level and no guaranteed uptime.
Your account
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
Give your real name or a name you are happy for others on your boards to see, and an email address you can receive mail at. Keep your password to yourself and tell us at once if you think someone else has used your account. An account is for one person. Do not share it.
Acceptable use
When you use the service, do not:
- Put illegal content on a board, or use the service to break the law
- Upload, link to or spread malware
- Harass, threaten or abuse other people
- Post content that infringes someone else's copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights
- Scrape the service, run load tests against it, or send automated traffic to it beyond normal use of the app
- Get around the daily AI limit, for example with several accounts or automated requests
- Try to get into boards, accounts or systems you have no access to
Reporting illegal content
We do not check boards before content goes on them. If you find content on Prompt Board that you think is illegal, write to websites@dionics.ai with the board link, what the content is and why you think it is illegal. We look at every report, may remove the content or block access to it, and tell you and the board owner what we decided.
Your content
What you put on your boards stays yours. You give us only the rights we need to run the service. We store your content, show it to you and to the people you give access to, copy it for backups, and process it to provide features such as sync, export and the AI features. When you press an AI button, that includes sending the content described in the privacy notice to our AI provider. The licence ends when you delete the content or your account, apart from backups that expire on their own schedule.
You are responsible for what you put on a board and for who you give access to. Anyone with a share link can open the board, and if the link allows editing, signed-in users with it can change the board. Turn the link off or replace it if it reaches the wrong people.
AI drafts
The AI features produce drafts. A draft can be wrong, incomplete or out of date, and it can resemble text that exists elsewhere. Check it before you rely on it or pass it on. How you use a draft is your decision and your responsibility.
Each account can make 20 AI requests per day. All accounts on one network share a limit of 60 requests per day. A request counts once the AI has answered it, also when it declines. A request that fails because of a fault on our side or the provider's does not count. We may change the limit or switch the AI features off, for example when the provider is unavailable.
Availability and backups
We work to keep the service running and your boards safe. We cannot promise that the service is always available, free of errors, or that no data is ever lost. Export boards you care about as PNG or SVG from time to time.
Ending your use
You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time. Deleting it deletes the boards you own, including what others added to them.
We can end your account with four weeks' notice by email. We can suspend or end it without notice if you seriously breach these terms, for example by posting illegal content or attacking the service, or if the law requires it. Where it is reasonable, we warn you first and give you time to export your boards.
Liability
We are liable without limit for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, under the Product Liability Act, and to the extent of any guarantee we have given or defects we have fraudulently concealed. For slight negligence we are liable only for breach of essential duties, meaning those whose performance makes proper use of the service possible at all and on which you may regularly rely, and then only for foreseeable, typical damage. Otherwise our liability is excluded.
Where we are liable for slight negligence and data is lost, our liability covers the effort needed to restore it from exports a careful user would have made.
These limits also apply to the personal liability of our staff and agents.
Links out
We link to other sites, and boards can contain links put there by users. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for what they contain. Their own terms and privacy notices apply once you follow the link.
Law and venue
German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, this choice of law does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory provisions of the country where you habitually reside. If you are a merchant within the meaning of the German Commercial Code, a legal entity under public law or a special fund under public law, the exclusive place of jurisdiction is our seat in Burgdorf.
Consumer dispute resolution
We are neither obliged nor willing to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration body.
If a clause fails
If any part of these terms turns out to be invalid, the rest stays in force.
Changes to these terms
We may change these terms for a valid reason, such as a new feature, a change in the law or a court ruling. We send account holders the new version by email at least four weeks before it takes effect, and the email explains your options.
If you object before that date, the current terms stay in place for you, and we may then end your account with four weeks' notice. If you do not object, the new terms apply from that date. Changes to the main features of the service, or any introduction of a price, need your express agreement.
